WHAT IS IT?
It is a free SCRATCH tournament open to any bowler from any center. That is right, no entry fee!  Though it is strongly encouraged to get in a few brackets and pot games.

WHY IS PINES PLAZA DOING THIS?
There are a few reasons.
1st - They just purchased a new Kegel lane machine and want to give it a workout before the season.
2nd - They installed AMF 8290xl pinspotters in February have been dialing them in and want to give them a stress test before the season starts.
3rd - They want to give people the opportunity to see that Pines Plaza Lanes is not the dungeon that is was just a couple of years ago.

THE FORMAT:
Scratch Tournament! Bowl three games across six lanes moving two pair to your right after each game.  The top 8 bowlers will then bowl head to head for the $500.00. Top 8 will be seeded by their qualifying scores. Seeded bowlers who are tied will determine their position by coin flip. In the event that there is a tie for 8th seed, all involved will bowl a best ball roll off until only one bowler is the 8th seed.

WHEN:
Sunday August 22nd starting at 11AM

ENTRY:
Since this is a FREE tournament they will cap the entries to 80 bowlers. League bowlers of Pines Plaza Lanes will have preference. Entries will only be accepted via EMAIL. Using email will allow us to easily confirm your slot in the event. Please one email address per entry. If two names are on a single entry both will be rejected.  Email your entry to JEFF@PINESPLAZALANES.COM no later than Wednesday August 18th 2010.  Please include your full name, home center and a contact phone number.

Summer Bowling Sessions
Every Sunday June through August, members of the SCBL get together at Noble Manor Lanes to bowl and have fun.

Ever thought of joining a bowling league but don't think you want all the commitment? The Summer Sessions are perfect for you then. Come once, bowl, drink, have fun. Bowl with whoever you want to. We are there to have fun, but we do keep score too. All bowlers are ranked into a handicap system so everyone bowls on a level playing field.

After you bowl 3 games, all bowler names are put into a pile and pulled out into mystery pairings (known in the bowling world as a "blind doubles format"). If the score of you and your blind double rank in the top 3, you can walk home with some $ winnings!

RSVP via Facebook:  June 6 | June 13 | June 20 | June 27 | July 11 | July 18 | July 25 | Aug 1 | Aug 8
